1. System requirements.
Before starting installation, it’s necessary to check if your hosting meets script’s server requirements.
Below you can see the list of system requirements:
- PHP Version 5.0 and above
- Apache Web Server
- MySQL 4.1 or greater
- Zend Optimizer (for Basic and Open Source packages)
- mod_rewrite module enabled
- GD library
- Safe mode disabled
- Magic quotes disabled
Note: Update of PHP version after script installation will cause the system crash - partial or full. Most likely it's necessary to get a new download link for an updated php version and re-upload the source code.
2. Downloading source codes and uploading the files to your server.
- After your order is complete, our Sales Team managers will send you a link to download the source codes of the script. Once you save the files, you will need to upload them to your server using any ftp manager software.
Please note: With Basic License use Binary transfer mode when uploading source codes - this is a strict requirement for Zend encoded files.
- Create an empty MySQL database and add a user to this database. Database user should have all the rights because our script will use this user’s parameters to populate the database with needed tables and data.
3. Running Installation Wizard.
PG Real Estate Solution provides installation script which makes installation of the script quick and simple.
To start installation script, go to http://www.your_domain_name/install/ using your browser.You will need to follow a few steps to install the product:
1) the first screen you will see is license agreement which you should accept to continue installation:
2) On the next step the script will check your server for system requirements and file permissions.
You will need to give chmod permissions "777" to the files and folder listed on the page.
Note: Permissions 777 (rwxrwxrwx) - you can do that by right clicking on the script file or directory in your FTP client software dialog box and choosing CHMOD or Set File Attributes.
3) The next step involves database and server configuration.
You will need to enter your database info here. Server info will be entered automatically, you will just need to check if th fields were filled in correctly and click next: 
4)The next step requires entering adminstrator's info:
5) After entering administrator's details, you will need to check file permissions again.
This is required for security reasons. You will to set file permissions 644 to the files:

After setting necessary file permissions click next to finish installation:
Here you can see the list of files that should be added to your hosting crontab.This would enable to schedule jobs (like updating rss feeds, sending notifications etc) to run periodically at certain times or dates.
It is used to automate system administration.
On the same page you have 2 options: to install countries and zip codes.
4. Installing countries.
To install countries you either need to click 'install countries' button on the final step of installation or go to http://www.your_domain_name.com/install/countries/ using your browser.
First of all, you will need to set necessary permissions to certain files in the same way you did while installing the script itself: 
On the next step you should choose which countries should be installed on your website. You can choose from 2 countries databases:
- database of all countries in Latin symbols
- countries database of Commonwealth of Independent States in Cyrillic symbols
Choose database, then tick countries that should be installed and click 'Next'.
The script will download selected countries and will install them on your website.
5. Installing zip codes database.
To enable zip code search on your website, you will need to install zip codes database.
To do that you either need to click 'install zip codes' button on the final step of installation or go to http://www.your_domain_name.com/install/zip_codes/ using your browser.
As usually on the first step you need to check file permissions:
Then you should choose which countries zip codes you would like to install. Currently you can install zip codes databases of the USA and Canada:
After installation, you should remove or rename folder 'Install' for security reasons. Before you rename or remove it, the following error will be displayed:
After renaming or removing the folder install, you will see your newsly installed website:
To enter admin mode of your site, follow the link: http://www.your_domain_name.com/admin/index.php
